Kama's Supplier Policies

Supply Chain Policy

This policy underscores Kama Jewelry’s unwavering commitment to ethical business practices, particularly in the procurement of minerals and metals, in accordance with the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) guidelines. This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness.

Expectations from Suppliers: Kama Jewelry expects all suppliers to have robust policies and due diligence measures in place to ensure that the products and components they supply are free from conflict minerals and metals. Suppliers are encouraged to work collaboratively with Kama Jewelry to enhance transparency regarding the origin of minerals and metals in their products.

Support for Dodd-Frank Act Goals: As a responsible business entity, Kama Jewelry fully supports the goals of the Dodd-Frank Act, which aims to prevent armed groups in conflict-affected regions from benefiting from the sourcing of conflict minerals and metals. We are committed to actively engaging with our suppliers to educate them on these matters and encourage adherence to ethical sourcing practices.

Policy Enforcement: Kama Jewelry reserves the right to evaluate the compliance of suppliers with this policy and may request additional documentation regarding the origin of conflict minerals and metals. Suppliers found to be non-compliant may face review for future business relationships.

Sourcing Policy: Kama Jewelry is dedicated to ensuring that our supply chain is free from any minerals and metals procured in support of armed conflict or human rights abuses. We condemn such activities and will reject any materials believed to have been obtained through such means. Risk assessments will be conducted to identify and mitigate risks associated with conflict-affected and high-risk areas.

Due Diligence and Risk Assessment: We are committed to enhancing our supply chain due diligence and risk assessment processes through internal reviews and external assessments. Kama Jewelry maintains a zero-tolerance policy for suppliers violating OECD due diligence guidelines and will cease commercial relationships with non-compliant or high-risk partners.

RJC Compliance: Kama Jewelry is a proud member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and fully subscribes to its Code of Practices, which promotes responsible ethical, social, and environmental practices throughout the jewellery supply chain. We encourage our business partners to adhere to RJC standards and collaborate in setting high industry benchmarks for business, social, and environmental responsibilities.

This policy represents Kama Jewelry’s steadfast commitment to ethical sourcing practices, human rights, and responsible business conduct. We strive to continuously improve our supply chain processes to ensure the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
